The historic Suzuka 8 Hour World Endurance race in Japan has been moved to November 1st in another ongoing EWC date change to the 2019-2020 EWC schedule due to the ongoing Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. The 43rd edition of the race, scheduled to be the third round in July, will now form the final race of the five-round series following Japan’s declaration of a nationwide state of emergency.

The FIM-International Motorcycling Federation, FIM EWC promoter Eurosport Events and Mobilityland, the organiser of the Suzuka 8 Hours, have today decided to postpone the race, initially scheduled to be held on July 19th because of border entry restrictions currently in effect in Japan making it impossible for Suzuka to host teams and riders from countries affected by Coronavirus.
