For the third consecutive year, Ducati’s racing season kicked off in the mountains of Madonna di Campiglio in Trentino with “Campioni in Pista”. The Bologna-based manufacturer chose the slopes of the Dolomites to experience three days of sport, fun and getting together, and to present to the world the 2025 Ducati Lenovo Team, which will take part in the MotoGP season with two extraordinary riders: Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Márquez. A “Dream Team” that needs no introduction – with 11 World Titles on display – and which promises to be a great show for all fans throughout the season.
Bagnaia and Márquez were the undisputed stars of the event since their arrival in Madonna di Campiglio on Sunday 19 January. The first appointment was the official presentation of the Team and the Desmosedici GP25 #63 and #93, which took place on the morning of Monday 20 January at the PalaCampiglio with a live streaming on the digital channels of Ducati and live TV broadcasting. In the afternoon, the two Champions, accompanied by Ducati Official Tester Michele Pirro, Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali, Ducati Corse Sporting, Marketing & Communications Director Mauro Grassilli and Ducati Lenovo Team Manager Davide Tardozzi, then met the fans who had gathered in Piazza Sissi for the first moment open to the public.
On Tuesday 21 January, Bagnaia, Márquez and the entire Ducati and Ducati Corse management enjoyed a wonderful day on skis, challenging each other in an exciting downhill race. At lunchtime the first “Face to Face” interview took place in a dreamlike natural setting, at an altitude of 1,750 MASL in the snow of the Skiarea Madonna di Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta. The Ducati Lenovo Team riders answered several questions about the season ahead and their future as teammates. The video of the interview is online on the Ducati YouTube channel, at this link.
“Campioni in Pista” is an event organized by Ducati in collaboration with Madonna di Campiglio Tourism Board and Trentino Marketing and thanks to the participation of Audi and partners Lenovo, Monster Energy and Shell. Also in this third edition, the event represented a perfect example of the Company philosophy, aimed at creating memorable experiences at all levels . The union between Ducati and Madonna di Campiglio is in this sense a perfect expression of sport and Italian beauty, as well as a celebration of “Made in Italy” excellence. The success of “Campioni in Pista” derives also from the ability to alternate institutional moments with moments of pure fun, taking advantage of an ideal location from the point of view of tourist, sports and culinary attractions.
Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati Motor Holding: “It is always a great emotion to start our racing season in Madonna di Campiglio with a one-of-a-kind event, capable of perfectly promoting the values of ‘Made in Italy’ for which we are recognized and appreciated throughout the world. The presentation of the 2025 Ducati Lenovo Team with two champions like Pecco and Marc is a demonstration of our goal of continuous improvement, which has guided our choices from a sporting point of view, and which is also evident in the care with which ‘Campioni in Pista’ is created. In these three days we have had the opportunity to have moments of dialogue with partners, journalists and the entire Ducati team, sharing at the same time convivial situations and sporting activities in a wonderful location. I am convinced that our ability to work as a team and have fun while fully being committed to what we do is a great added value at all levels, and it will also be in this 2025 season that promises to be full of emotions”.
Maurizio Rossini, CEO of Trentino Marketing: “It has been a great pleasure to host the Ducati Team in Madonna di Campiglio for the third edition of ‘Campioni in Pista’. This event is not only an important media opportunity, but above all a moment of meeting that strengthens authentic relationships and creates new connections, thanks to the shared passion for sport and the beauty of Trentino. Madonna di Campiglio has confirmed itself to be the ideal setting for an event that combines excellence in innovation, technology and Italian design with the unique charm of the mountains, capable of inspiring and strengthening positive relationships between all participants, from industry insiders to the many journalists present. Special thanks go to Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali and his staff, to the Madonna di Campiglio Tourism Board, to all the partners who made this initiative possible and, of course, to the great Champions Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Márquez to whom we extend our most sincere wishes for the next season.”
Tullio Serafini, President of the Madonna di Campiglio Tourism Board:“The third edition of ‘Campioni in Pista’ has been a great success, further strengthening the bond with Ducati, with whom we share membership in the Altagamma Foundation, and with Audi, a consolidated partner for 12 years in projects to enhance the territory and sustainability. Thanks to this event, Madonna di Campiglio has obtained significant international visibility, confirming itself as an ideal location for prestigious sporting events and high-level meetings. A place to meet, relax and enjoy the best Alpine hospitality, immersed in extraordinary landscapes appreciated by all participants.”
The direct participation of Audi further enriched the prestige of “Campioni in Pista”. During the Team presentation, the new Director of the Italian branch, Timm Barlet, spoke, highlighting the strong collaboration with Madonna di Campiglio that has lasted for 12 years. The bond between Audi and the Trentino location confirms Audi’s commitment to sustainable mobility that respects the ecosystem, maintaining, together with the territory and in a logic of collaboration, constant attention in developing new systemic initiatives. Audi strongly wanted to take part in the event to wish the Ducati Lenovo Team a season full of satisfaction and made the Audi Driving Experience available to participants on the frozen lake at the foot of the famous Spinale Direttissima ski slope.
