When Stan Hulme, one half of the Epic Nordic Adventure team who are undertaking a 6,000 mile trip on their bikes – a BMW R 1200 GS and a Triumph Tiger 800 XCA – to the North Cape in Europe for local charity Alex’s Wish, received an email informing him he’d won a Drybag350 he was delighted!
Says Stan, “Like many people I’d entered the Armchair Adventure Bootcamp 2021 lucky draw and was really grateful to receive an email from Wayne at Motohaus Powersports. He said I’d been pulled out of their lucky draw and won a Drybag350! I emailed mentioning how ideal it would be on our Epic Nordic Adventure and the next thing I know Wayne asked if we’d see value in using some heated motorcycle clothing and a motorcycle seat cushion apiece. Naturally I said yes!”
Stan and his Epic Nordic Adventure partner Matt had been offered a Keis Heated Apparel jacket each plus gloves as well as the ComfortAir motorcycle seat cushion. Adds Wayne, “The heated jackets we’ve supplied Stan and Matt with are designed as under jackets to replace a standard motorcycle jackets inner thermal liner. They are extremely hot when on full power and help maintain core body temperature in very, very cold conditions. I thought they would be perfect for the conditions that Stan and Matt will encounter. We’ve also supplied them both with a pair of heated G701 motorcycle gloves which plug into power leads that are located at the end of each arm of the Keis heated jacket.
“ComfortAir motorcycle seat cushions are new to the UK market having just launched this month. The seat cushion designs take all the many benefits gained from air flotation technology including the reduction of pressure points, stopping the build-up of hot spots and dampening vibration which alleviates ‘numb-bum’ – a very real issue for long distance bikers – and provide this in a new weatherproof and breathable cover and seat attachment system. We know from years of experience that everyone who does serious miles passionately preaches the benefits of this technology! As Stan and Matt are also camping during their trip they can unzip the cover flap and remove the air bladder for use as a great air pillow thereby helping them to get that all important rest.
“We’re delighted to have been able to support Stan and Matt on their Epic Nordic Adventure and wish them both the very best of luck with their trip and in raising money for such a worthwhile cause.”
Adds Stan, “Matt and I are truly grateful to receive these essential pieces of kit from Motohaus Powersports we can’t thank them enough. Our sponsors and supporters mean the world to us and with their help we’ll be able to concentrate on raising as much money as possible for Alex’s Wish and their mission to cure Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.”
