Supersport enthusiasts Appleyard Macadam Yamaha are committed to battling for an unsurpassed fifth Quattro Group British Supersport Championship in 2022, which will be their fourteenth season in the class. The team have agreed terms with two young riders who will both be battling for the title, with a full announcement before the end of the year. The Keighley based squad have been the benchmark in the hard-fought class for over a decade, having taken 58 wins and raising the prestigious championship trophy four times; with Keith Farmer, Jack Kennedy and Rory Skinner.
After several years with title favourite riders, the team looked to blood two young racers in 2021; series rookie Rhys Irwin and relative newcomer Bradley Perie. Rhys had a tough learning year taking two podiums whilst Brad showed flashes of brilliance with five wins and led the series early in proceedings. The team continue to be Yamaha UK’s Official Supersport entry and long-time sponsor Doug Macadam continues his support for 2022.
